Reblog: October Update – They Are Selling My Park

A core personal finance issue that’s personal and real and larger than me. Terms like Affordable Housing can become so commonplace that they’re easy to ignore. Here’s a specific case that’s happening to my neighborhood. As I wrote in the post, “Of all the folks unlucky enough to be affected and in the room, I may have been the least unlucky.” Will a hundred households have to move, and if so, where and how?

Cross posted from one of my other blogs. (Yeah, I have a few.)

MyTinyExperiment.com – Can an over six-foot, over 200 pound, 65 year-old man live in a big tiny house – especially after writing about them for over ten years?

hi Tom, read your blog on the w/d and am curious about why you didn’t put in a full size w/ d, it will fit just fine. I had one…stackable lg. I have the same sft laundry area in my new home and have the same full size unit. One of the reasons I bought this home is that a full size was possible. In regard to the parties, I had many both inside and out….I had the house arranged so I could quickly reconfigure the interior space to accommodate a site down dinner for 6 no problem. We had many dinner parties in winter and large bbqs up to 30 peeps in the summer under the plum tree….

Yep. The orange and maroon came with the place. Going grey feels appropriate – and dull. Decisions. Decisions. And you know my lack of style.

The combo fit, barely. It is also saved volume. Glad yours worked.
